A traditional material with
a modern twist
Neoterrazzo – high performance modern terrazzo for homes and commercial projects
Neoterrazzo is a high performance, Italian style terrazzo system for interior floors, feature walls, and countertops, offering a seamless, contemporary surface with either a smooth or lightly textured finish. Installed in thin yet durable layers, it suits apartments, villas, residential buildings, malls, hotels, offices, schools, universities, and hospitals across the Gulf. More technical and design details are available on the Neoterrazzo product page.
What Neoterrazzo is and how it is made
Neoterrazzo is a modern evolution of classic terrazzo, using decorative marble or quartz granules bound in a high quality cementitious or resin matrix selected according to project requirements. The mix is poured as a continuous layer, then ground and polished in multiple stages to achieve the desired finish—from matt and satin to high gloss. Chip size and chip density can be adjusted to create either calm, minimal surfaces or more expressive patterns, while the almost jointfree surface reduces visual clutter from grout lines.
Residential applications
- Ideal for reception areas, openplan living/dining zones, corridors, and open kitchens, where a continuous floor enlarges the space visually and reduces joints.
- With proper detailing, it can also be used in selected bathrooms to create a calm, hotelstyle environment with easier cleaning.
- Excellent for main lobbies, living rooms, formal reception areas, internal corridors, and feature staircases, tying the entire ground floor together with one elegant finish.
- Can be extended onto kitchen islands, counters, and builtin benches so that floors and fixed furniture share the same terrazzo language.
- A strong choice for entrance lobbies, common corridors, staircases, and shared lounges in mid to highend residential towers, improving perceived value over standard tiles.
Commercial, educational, and healthcare uses
Neoterrazzo is particularly well suited to high traffic interiors where aesthetics and durability are both critical:
- Malls, showrooms, restaurants, and hotel lobbies that need a high end, brand supporting floor under intensive daily foot traffic and frequent cleaning.
- Corporate offices and long corridors where a seamless, uniform floor reinforces a professional image and reduces groutrelated maintenance.
- Schools, universities, and hospitals, where Neoterrazzo provides long lasting, hygienic, easy to clean surfaces for corridors, receptions, and waiting areas, and can also be used on feature walls or reception desks.
Key benefits
- High durability and traffic resistance for residential and commercial/institutional environments, comparable to advanced epoxy and cementterrazzo systems.
- Easier cleaning and maintenance when protected with suitable sealers; smooth, lowjoint surfaces trap less dirt than many tiled floors.
- Wide design flexibility in colours, chip types, chip size, and chip density, with options for borders, zoning patterns, and even infloor logos or graphics.
- A calm, continuous visual effect that enhances openness and supports modern, minimal interior concepts.
Colours and design options
The final Neoterrazzo look is determined by the binder colour (light, dark, or tinted) and the type, colour, and quantity of marble or quartz chips. This allows very neutral mixes for family homes or bold compositions for villas, hotels, and retail environments, with borders and inset shapes created within a single continuous slab.
